Pumpkinman 70.3 Training: Day Two

Day two is turning out to be as big a zero as day one. After getting one whole hour of uninterrupted sleep I decided to call it a day by calling in sick to focus on recovery. I would much rather be recovering from athletic endeavors than what I’ve got now. Today’s training was to include a bootcamp-like workout before work and sixty minutes of small chaining low effort saddle time after Kendra’s award ceremony. Having carefully scrutinized the calendar I believe I’ll be able to make up for lost time tomorrow with a 2,000 meter swim before work and the 40 minute run I was was supposed to do yesterday and the ride I was supposed to do today after work. It’ll make for a long day, but I’ll be caught up with my training so that by day four I’ll be back on track. Two bonuses from this sidetracking of my training plan: 1) I finally found the time to set up a blog just for me so the family blog doesn’t become all about me; and 2) I’ll get to do an informal and split sprint triathlon my third day of training. Who says there’s not a rainbow or two behind every cloud? Having said that, if I’m still not sufficiently recovered by tomorrow morning, I’m screwed.
