Its goal progress reflection time

It’s been a tough year for every one for the obvious reasons, and for reasons that aren’t always transparent. At some point I stopped focusing on my original goals and gave myself permission to have none for awhile. While I normally don’t like wallowing around in life with no goals, this year was an exception that needed to be made. Consequently, I was able to relax and focus on just being in a state of grace and gratitude. Instead of focusing on the big picture for most of this year, I concentrated on micro-goals. Instead of jumping straight from A to Z, I bunny hopped from A to B, then B to C, etc., and celebrated every single one of those bunny hops rather than waiting until I got to that one giant “success.” When I sat down this morning to reflect on all those little bunny hop moments, I discovered to my utter surprise and delight that I had made all but one of my giant successes after all! Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be thinking about what I want to accomplish in 2021, but don’t be surprised if I just decide to BE. Also don’t be surprised if I decide to take on some entirely new challenges.

GOAL A: Read 100 books. PROGRESS A: 98 read and am about half way through two others.

GOAL B: Volunteer 300 hours. PROGRESS B: Logged 296 so far and should have at least another 10 by 12/31.

GOAL C: Resolve the elbow pain I’ve been having for the last three years. PROGRESS C: Pain is almost gone. I can only feel it when I touch it, so I don’t touch it.

GOAL D: Exercise an average of one hour per day. PROGRESS D: 256:38:49 hours through 12/2. I don’t think I’m going get the whole 109 I need by 12/31. Maybe another 15.

GOAL E. Walk 2mm steps: PROGRESS E: 3,063,845.5.

GOAL F. Lose 10+ pounds and keep them off; PROGRESS E: My weight in February was 168, and I’ve been hovering around 154 since August.
