Metal Detecting

We dug a giant hole, all the while imagining the high pitched pinging noise we kept hearing was buried treasure. Jazz wasn't impressed with the job we were doing. She claims she could do better with just her nose.

Turns out that all we got for our trouble was a common decking screw. "See if you can find 100 more," said Lou. "It'll save me a trip to the home improvement store."

Ginger, Do you remember that Dad has two metal detectors that he uses periodically. He likes going to the beach here in Sebastion where many of the ships sank 200 years ago. They were carrying gold and silver. It still washes up on shore here but Dad hasn’t found any.

I do remember. We had a very frustrating yet fun experience yesterday. I guess it just takes a more practiced ear than we’ve yet developed.
