Very Last Prom Dress Shopping Trip … Ever

Today was our last prom dress shopping experience, or at least until the girls’ girls (if they have them) are ready. I’m really rather glad this was the LAST one, because if it had been the first I might never have gone again … ever. We went to three different stores, first in RI, then in Mass, then back through RI to the other side of Mass. The last one was by far the biggest and busiest. There must have been 100 girls in there from schools all over Mass and RI. We had to wait an hour just to get a dressing room, and that was after we had already picked out the dresses. Unfortunately, Ginger pushed her hunger threshold, which made the wait seem much longer than one hour. Jess was pretty quick about trying on the seven dresses she and Kendra had picked out. I guess that’s the good thing about trying stuff on when you’re famished. You tend to make snappier decisions about what you like or don’t like. The slide show includes photos of the dresses Jess liked the best. She specifically requested I leave her head (front and back) out of the photos. The one she selected will be revealed when you see the prom photos in May, but trust me when I say she makes the dress.
