The Fawcetts graciously stayed with the girls while Lou and Ginger were on their anniversary trip. They arrived on a Friday night and stayed through the following Sunday. The girls very much enjoyed their time with them, especially Nancy’s southern style home cooking and the good Doctor’s entertaining tales. Especially memorable for us was the dinner we hosted at Lafayette House the night they arrived and the time we got to spend with them the Saturday after they returned. Ray accompanied Ginger on a n0t quite 3 mile cool down walk after her morning 6 mile run. She was glad of the company since she so rarely runs with anyone other than Kendra. We spent the evening on the back patio enjoying the cool evening, grilled steak tips, a good bottle of white wine introduced to us by Ray, and fabulous after-dinner conversation and laughter. We were sorry to see them leave on Sunday morning and look forward to our next visit with them. Hopefully one of these days soon we’ll be able to join them at their place in Hilton Head.
