Easter 2011

This was probably the lowest-key Easter Sunday ever. The parents didn’t get out of bed until 10 and the girls showed no signs of getting up anytime before noon. After sticking the ham in the oven, Lou went to the gym and Ginger went for an 8-mile run. We returned to the house to the girls watching cartoons and not yet washed. It was such a beautiful sunny day that Lou and Ginger walked around the yard and made a few summer plans until it became overcast and sprinkly. The girls then colored eggs while Lou finished putting the final touches on dinner. We told funnies while enjoying a liesurely meal (including leftover Lynne stuffing), then Ginger went outside for the first round of egg hiding. I started out with 11, but Phila and Jazz each rooted out 2 of the hiding spots. The girls then took the second round of egg hiding for the parents. We found 7, then realized 2 of the original 9 hadn’t yet been found so we made our way back to the front yard where they were quickly discovered. Ginger gets to eat them for breakfast at work this week since no-one else likes boiled eggs. We will wrap up this lovely day with a hot tub. Playing hide and go seek with Easter eggs is hard work.
