Again, I let a few months lapse between posts. Its not because we haven’t had anything to post, but because we’ve been up to so much. We got to spend some time with Ray and Nancy when they visited in September. While they were here Lou and I took a short motorcycle trip to Vermont. In October, Jess visited them in Hilton Head while Lou and I visited with my family in Pennsylvania. It was so great to see everyone again, and we wanted to be sure to see my Mum and Dad before they left for Florida for the winter.
Jess continues to do well in school and even earned herself a Mass state tuition from her great MCAS test results. She is still working at the nail salon, but her time at the apple farm ended last month. She plans to look for another job when she gets her license in January, since the hours at the nail salon are few. For now, she’s focusing on practicing with the swim team for the upcoming season.
Kendra is doing very well at school. She’s so happy there, and has met many wonderful people, is an outstanding student, and even joined the ultimate Frisbee team. One of her instructors recommended her for the Honors program, which she was accepted into last month. She said the only reason she joined it was to get preferred housing next year and because she gets to sign up for classes early.
Leah begins her nursing program in January, and is looking forward to finally being finished with all her schooling in 18 months. She’s also looking forward to collecting a much bigger paycheck! In the meantime, she’s going to be living lean since she won’t be able to work as much while she’s attending school full-time.
Lou and I continue to do what we do: travel and work during the week, and play hard on the weekends. We are all looking forward to traveling to New Mexico for the holiday season and spending time with our friends and family.
