Our middle girl isn’t going to brag on herself, so her PROUD MAMMA is going to do it for her. She just learned yesterday that she was awarded an Educational Foundation Dissertation Writing Fellowship. It’s awarded to Ph.D. students who have demonstrated exceptional academic ability and potential. They give her a stipend, a research travel fund, and pay her fees. What this essentially boils down to is that she’s being paid to do nothing other than research and write her dissertation, which she expects will be finished by the time the Fellowship ends. She is beside herself with relief and we are overjoyed for her.
