After talking and talking for years about how we were going to spend our retirement years we decided to get an early start by purchasing an RV. Its a 2010 31′ Winnebago that had only 3,300 miles on it when we took the tour. Since a dealer on Cape Cod was using it for their personal pleasure we are the first “owners” of the Down Time II. Down Time I was given to one of my cousins who will drive up from PA to pick it up next month.
Our first trip was to South Berwick, Maine for Gingers half ironman (see HerTriness blog for race report). It was a true pleasure to camp so comfortably, and since school was in session there were only a dozen or so other campers at the park. Therefore, quiet. Unfortunately, the photos below were the only ones that survived the latest crash of the home laptop. If Ginger’s friend can get it working again without damaging the files this post will be updated with some of the really incredible pictures she took over the five days we were at the camp ground. We are taking the girls and their friends to the Cape the first full weekend of October and we’ll take it to the coast again for Ginger’s marathon in mid-November. There will be plenty of opportunities to get more pictures.
